Internal Medicine Practise Questions

MKSAP 5 contains 450 NEW questions that are different from the questions in the previous edition. The questions are well written, and incorporate the latest calculations used in evidence based medicine. The explanations are easy to understand and appropriate for a MS3 or MS4. I found the questions in this book to be a bit simpler than those on WORLD and I purchased this book because I felt that I needed some simpler questions to strengthen my foundation before I continued to work through WORLD. (Please refer to my review for SUTM).

Excellent Shelf Resource

The questions were appropriate as a review resource for the Medicine Shelf. The explanations were both nicely worded, and they didn't tangentially explain topics that were low-yield.
I've recommended this book to classmates on their IM clerkship.
Con: This is true of all practice question books; it was sometimes a challange to flip back and forth between questions and answers without inadvertently seeing the answer to another question.

essential for medicine

Absolutely essential for the medicine shelf. If you don't get this, you're crazy. Not so much of a difference from the earlier versions, but I like to make sure I read updated versions because a lot of the answers here are evidence-based.
