Very detailed

I run an appraisal business and am constantly having to provide estimates for different types of repairs. Once you get used to the format you can provide an estimate that is adjusted to your area and up to date. The CD allows to print or save your estimates so that you may incorporate them into various reports. I would like to see a section similar to RS Means or Swift as for overall construction in the Cost Method is not necessary to give such a detailed cost, a general cost per house category/class and location would be easier.

The book is easy to navigate clear and provides ease of preparing an estimate. The costs are easy to extract. Never got to use the CD as out IT department would not clear it for use.

About the Author
RICHARD POLENBERG is professor of history at Cornell University, where he has received the Clark Distinguished Teaching Award and was appointed Goldwin Smith Professor of American History in 1986. He has been a Fulbright Visiting Professor at Hebrew University in Jerusalem and has published widely on twentieth-century American history, including The World of Benjamin Cardozo: Personal Values and the Judicial Process (1997), Fighting Faiths: The Abrams Case, the Supreme Court, and Free Speech (1989), for which he won the American Bar Association's Silver Gavel Award and the Gustavus Myers Foundation's Outstanding Book Award; and One Nation Divisible: Class, Race, and Ethnicity in the United States since 1938 (1980).

Adam Greco is a longstanding member of the web analytics community who has consulted with hundreds of clients across every industry vertical. Extremely Good Book on SiteCatalyst

This is an excellent book on Adobe SiteCatalyst, written by one of the predominant leaders on the software, Adam Greco. If you want to understand, in depth, the technical side of SC, then this book is for you. I bought it for this very reason. However, a need did arise after purchasing the book for more in depth information/guidance on how to actually use SiteCatalyst. I would have liked the book to have covered SiteCatalyst's Reporting capabilities. Specifically, tips on reporting as well as examples (best practices) of reports people, or even Mr. Greco, have built with SC in the past.

I learn best from real world examples, use cases, etc., but will defend this book in any day of the week!

ONE of the deciding factors when I bought this book was that it was published in 2013 and most importantly, the information provided is timely and relevant to the most recent version of SiteCatalyst.

Well Done Mr. Greco!

Final advice...If you have anything to do, in any way or role whatsoever, with SiteCatalyst, BUY THIS BOOK!

Should be included with every SiteCatalyst implementation

This book literally has anything and everything you could ever want to know about Adobe SiteCatalyst: features you never knew existed, features you are using but not using to their fullest potential and the best explanation you'll ever get on how the features you are currently using actually work. Having gone through a re-implementation of SiteCatalyst in the past year I wish I had had this book before hand but there are just as many improvements we can make to correct these issues based on what is in Adam's book. Honestly every SiteCatalyst user should read this book to ensure they are getting the most they possibly can out of the tool. Adam does not exaggerate his "Insider" status.

Lauren Eden is masterful. She strings words together in a way that beautifully elicits immense feeling from the reader. She is not only a talented author, but an inspiration to other writers (such as myself). I truly enjoyed reading her book "Of Yesteryear" and I cannot wait to see what comes next for her.

About the Author
John B. Judis was a senior editor of "The New Republic" and recently a senior writer for "The National Journal." He is the author of six books, including "Genesis: Truman, American Jews, and the Origin of the Arab-Israeli Conflict" (Farrar, Straus & Giroux, 2014), "The Folly of Empire: What George W. Bush Could Learn from Theodore Roosevelt and Woodrow Wilson" (Scribner, 2004), "The Emerging Democratic Majority" with Ruy Teixeira (Scribner, 2002), and "The Paradox of American Democracy: Elites, Special Interests, and Betrayal of Public Trust" (Pantheon, 2000). He has written for numerous publications, including "The New York Times Magazine," "Mother Jones," and "The Washington Post." Born in Chicago, he received his B.A. and M.A. degrees in Philosophy from the University of California Berkeley. He lives in Silver Spring, MD.

With the recent tense US elections, many labels describing opponents have been applied to both Democrats and Republicans without really understanding the underlying motivations driving the shift by voters to oppose establishment candidates, both within the US and in the EU. This refreshing overview provides helpful context of historical populist movements, and how we might see the new situations playing out around the world today. Thought-provoking read, recommended for those who are ready to move beyond condescending labels to solve real problems.

Nationalism is not Fascism, it's so much more.

Like many of you I thought when a new President of the United States was elected that would be the end of the constant barrage of campaign news and the recriminations, back biting, and attack ads. I was wrong.

Hillary's loss has become every United States citizen's problem because we failed to elect a woman, because we failed to hand the country over to the Democrats and their agenda lock, stock, and barrel, and because politicians of Republican and Democratic stripe do not understand why Donald Trump won. The mainstream media keep their corporate microscopes trained on Trump and Obama and the rioting and unrest while the public outcry of racists, xenophobes, anti-Muslim, anti-gay, anti-Hillary echo day and night. Protesters scream that Trump is not their President, the election was rigged, Hillary was robbed and reporters hype their anguish and rage, determinedly throwing gasoline and napalm on the fires where Trump is burned in effigy. None of them realize what has happened or why and most give in to their fear -- and their jubilation -- of the return of fascism and Nazi rule. Nothing could be further from the reality of what ended with Trump's election.

Had they read John B. Judis's The Populist Explosion they would know what happened and what is currently happening all over Europe as candidates like Trump step to the forefront of the rising tide of a populist movement that started around 1928 and has grown with greater force with every passing year.

Whatever your political affiliations, I recommend The Populist Explosion not only for its detailed examination of the rising populism but also because Populism and Fascism are not even close cousins in the political arena here in the United States or in Europe as Marine Le Pen, Geert Wilders, and other populist leaders repudiate their roots and embrace the 21st century embodiment of the politics of the disenfranchised, dispossessed, nationalist middle class.

Hitler's brand of nationalism was colonialism, fascism with the ultimate goal of expanding Germany's borders, digging out from under the war reparations demanded of Germany at the end of World War I, and bringing back a sense of dignity and hope in the wake of the rising tide of communism. Franco in Spain and Mussolini in Italy followed suit determined to stamp out the communist menace that threatened their countries and their people. Since the Russian revolution, communism was spreading like a poisonous weed through Europe and Hitler was determined to halt the spread. Judis details the roots of populism and its spread from the United States, South America, and throughout Europe. The Populist Explosion answers all the questions of how and why Nationalism is gaining support and spreading into the enlightened, politically correct world of the European Union and the stated goal of a world with no borders and one government under one leader. Populism, and the modern version of Nationalism, is not Fascism nor do populist leaders want to expand their influence or their borders. What Le Pen, Wilders, and Trump want, and what their growing number of followers, the members of the ever shrinking middle class, is sovereignty, to maintain their countries' social, cultural, and economic identities and protect their borders from the massive immigration of aliens determined to destroy national identity and remake host countries in their own image, an image that is bent on destroying the cultural and social identity of the host governments.

Judis's clear prose and carefully researched history make The Populist Movement a must-read resource that will open your eyes and delineate not a return to the old world of intolerance and hate, but a new world where national pride and a stable, productive economy is the goal where the middle class is resurrected, revitalized, and renewed. I give the book 5/5 stars and suggest you read it twice and share it with everyone you meet.
